Socially Distanced Activities
Walking Group - An opportunity to meet new people, chat and keep fit
Our new programme of socially distanced walks is proving popular. The current venue is Kings Heath Park for a walk of just under a mile, taking about 35 minutes and paced to be comfortable for all members of the group. The walk uses the park path and begins mainly flat, progressing to some gentle uphill and downhill walking in the second half.
Other venues will be added to the programme in response to demand.
AT PRESENT GROUP SIZES MUST BE LIMITED TO FIVE PLUS THE WALK LEADER. BOOKING FOR THE WALK IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL. SEE DETAILS BELOW.
Weekly Telephone Quiz Group - Connect in a group with older people over the phone, have fun and show off your general knowledge
All that is required to access our fun quiz is a landline or mobile phone. With the help of telephone conferencing technology and using a simple access code, groups of five or six can enjoy social interaction and a bit of stimulation for the old grey matter. Once connected the whole quiz group will be able to hear and speak to each other at the same time. (Hopefully not all talking at once!)
No computer technology required!
TO KEEP GROUP SIZES MANAGEABLE AND TO OBTAIN THE ACCESS CODE IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT PARTICIPANTS BOOK IN ADVANCE. SEE DETAILS BELOW
