Could you donate a prize for one of our many fundraising raffles and competitions - perhaps a bottle of wine, box of chocolates or biscuits, bath goodies, gift vouchers, or free services?
If you would like to donate a piece of equipment, we would be very grateful. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how your equipment donations could help us.
Send employees to volunteer
Could you send a team to help out at an event or activity? It's a great way for staff to bond by working together to help vulnerable older people. Previous staff teams have served Christmas lunches, created and delivered Christmas shoeboxes for isolated older people and painted our headquarters. Employee volunteering with Age UK Bradford District offers direct benefits to the older people we work with, your employees and your organisation. We have many opportunities including supporting a special meal at a day centre, telephone befriending or bucket collections. We are also able to tailor a volunteering activity to suit your business or organisation, for example, hosting a party, facilitating a visit to a museum or creating a giveaway prize that can be raffled to raise vital funds.
Run a fundraising event
Your employees or students could run their own fundraiser to help raise vital funds for our work. They could do a cake sale, dress down day, a sponsored walk or run, or a raffle. There's so many things they could do - contact us for more ideas! Fundraising for a charity offers a unique and fun way for staff and students to enhance their skills and demonstrate readiness to take on new responsibilities. - Invite our Veterans to do an interactive 'real life' history lesson
- Group befriending and reminisce sessions such as playing traditional board games together
- Write a Christmas letter to a lonely older person
