Looking to bag a bargain, declutter your life, or volunteer? You can do all three at our charity shop in Aylesbury.
We rely on your kind donations of good-quality items. Age UK Buckinghamshire has one shop (others across the county belong to the national charity) the money it raises is a vital source of income for us, enabling us to support older people in our community. Our charity shop is a great place to find bargains.
All donations of saleable items help us keep our shop going. Clothes, bric-a-brac, books and records are always welcome. Our customers enjoy browsing because they never know what they will find. All charity shops encourage re-use and recycling, so donating to us is a great way to help the environment by reducing waste. Your donations are always welcome but please do not leave goods outside a shop when it is closed.
The Big Bag Challenge 2018
We need your help…
This year, Age UK Buckinghamshire will be taking part in the Big Bag Challenge! The challenge will begin on Monday 8th October for four weeks until the 5th November (but please continue to bring in donations after this date!).
We need your unwanted goods to help us to raise our target of £1500 in extra income through sales within our Aylesbury shop between now and the end of the year.
We are encouraging everyone to have a clear out and donate a bag of unwanted items. It would be great if donations could have a value of £5 or more e.g. a good winter coat, an unwanted outfit, Christmas decorations, working electrical appliances, china and glassware/ornaments.
How does the Big Bag Challenge help?
Every bag donated will help raise much-needed funds for older people. Funds raised will allow Age UK Buckinghamshire to continue its vital work of supporting those who are facing later life alone, enabling us to provide companionship, support and advice, as well as our vital campaigning work.
Please help us locally with this challenge…we need your support!
We will have collection bags available for you to use for your unwanted items at our shop at 34 High Street, Aylesbury and at our office at 145 Meadowcroft, Aylesbury HP19 9HH.
