In Memory

We are very grateful to the following people for their contribution to this organisation:

  • Irene Allen (1935-2022) who was a long-standing member at the Jubilee, a member of the Friends Committee and Bury's first Lollipop Lady. 
  • Eunice Walmsley (1936 - 2022) who was a long-standing member of the Executive Committee and previously the Ramsbottom Older People's Welfare Committee. 
  • Kathleen Parkinson (1930-2022) who was a long-standing member of the Executive Committee.
  • Mike Connolly (1951-2021) who was a member of our fundraising committee. 
  • Irene Davenport (1928-2021) who was a volunteer for 25 years, working at the Radcliffe and Bury Charity shops and in later years, in the Chattebox Cafe at the Jubilee Centre.
  • Anne Pearson (1935 - 2021) who was a long standing member of the Friends of the Jubilee committee. 
  • Kathryn Woodward (1961 - 2021) who was the Bury Charity Shop Manager from 2005 to 2021. 
  • Hilary Brown (1939 - 2020) who was a member of the Executive Committee and a champion of the voluntary sector in Bury. 
  • Mavis Rothwell (1939 -2019) who was a longstanding member of the Executive Comittee and the FInance & General Purposes Sub-committee.
  • Dr Satinder Lal MBBS FRCP (1926 - 2018) who was a member of the Executive Committee and the Chair of the Bury Older Peoples Forum.
  • Tom Pilkington (1936 - 2018), husband of Beryl, who supported the establishment of the Jubilee Centre and served as a member on the Friends of the Jubilee Sub-Committee. 
  • Beryl A Pilkington (1942 - 2018) who was the Chief Officer from 1983 to 2005 and served as Chair from 2011 to 2018. 
  • Lynne Sullivan (1945 - 2017) who worked in our Chatterbox Cafe and was a volunteer at the Ramsbottom Charity Shop.
  • Marion Long (1931 - 2017) who was a volunteer in our Chatterbox Cafe.
  • Frances (Fran) Biggins (1945 - 2016) who was a volunteer at our Jubilee Centre and a member of our Friends of the Jubilee sub-committee.
  • Beryl Lord (1927 - 2015) who was a volunteer at our Ramsbottom shop and our Jubilee Centre Luncheon Club.
  • Joan Denham (1940 - 2015), who was a volunteer at our Bury shop for many years.
  • James Heyworth (1930  –  2013), who was a member of the Executive Committee and Chair from 1999 to 2011.
  • Jennie Willett Whittaker JP (1920 – 2013) who served as the Chair for many years.
  • Jasmine Dean (1934 - 2013), who was a volunteer at our Prestwich charity shop.
