Helping you get online...
Would you like to learn how to get online, communicate with your family, order your prescription, do some shopping, book a holiday or just write a letter or email a friend……
We have fully trained and experienced volunteers (DBS checked) who are able to offer help! They can provide one-to-one support in your own home or in some libraries (King Cross, Elland, Brighouse and Rastrick) and at our drop in at the Pellon Network Centre, Rye Lane off Pellon Lane on Weds 10-12pm, Calderdale.
They can show you the very basics or help you how get online for job applications, shopping, staying in touch with your family and friends using email or Skype, or help you to get online and navigate and access care services, appointments, prescriptions, library services etc.
We are always on the look out for volunteers to help with this service. You could be involved with setting up digital equipment in clients homes, helping connect and introduce them to the internet, Skype, emails, and other online facilities.
Applicants must have basic computer skills such as the ability to use the internet, email, etc, and the confidence to pass these skills on.

Other IT Support
There are lots of providers offering formal training sessions or some informal support. Kirklees and Calderdale Colleges often run evening classes teaching basic IT skills and UKOnline can point you in the direction of a local training partner.
