Join Camden’s leading organisation for older people

Age UK Camden is an independent charity that helps older people to stay active, stay connected and get the most out of life. We've been working in the local community to support older people for 50 years and have 60 dedicated staff and over 400 volunteers helping us to deliver high quality, innovative services and activities for older people in Camden.

We work with and for older people in Camden to promote wellbeing and help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience, providing services including Day Care, Advice, Counselling, Care Navigation, Dementia Wellbeing, Befriending and much more.

We are looking for a Trustee with relevant skills or lived experience to join our friendly and engaged Board of Trustees and take an active part in the strategic direction and decision-making of Age UK Camden.

Experience of governance work, the charity sector and working with and for older people is desirable. We are particularly looking for those with a legal, accountancy or/and income generation background.

We are committed to a Board that reflects the population of Camden and particularly welcome applications from people of colour or any BAME background, people who identify as LGBTQ+, people with disabilities or mental health conditions, all socio-economic brackets, career stages or educational backgrounds. We welcome applications from all age groups.

Previous board or Trustee experience is not a prerequisite as we will offer full training and help de-mystify any questions about Trusteeship.

Time Commitment: 6 Board meetings a year plus attendance at subgroup meetings and AUC activities.

More information can be found in the Trustee role descriptions and read in line with Age UK Camden's Mems and Arts. Links to the documents can be found at the bottom of this page.

Application Process:
