Over 150 'Pimped Up' Zimmers

Vivienne Saddler, Our Wear Purple Coordinator has travelled the length and breadth of West Cheshire and Vale Royal 'pimping' zimmer frames and has now transformed over 150 frames with all manner of bright and colourful embellishments.
 
The user-friendly bags are proving very popular both for residents - who find them a very useful accessory – and carers who can see at-a-glance if the right frame is partnered with the right user! (Using the wrong sized frame can be a risk too).
 
It is not just zimmers that benefit from the décor;  a great array of walking support have also had personal touches added too!

Pimp My Zimmer is a falls prevention initiative being facilitated by Age UK Cheshire working in partnership with Cheshire West Integrated Care Partnership.
