Our Yearly Report - Buzza Bus on the Isles of Scilly

The Buzza Bus is a Dial-a-Ride bus, run by Age UK Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which runs a door-to-door service on St. Mary’s. The bus is able to transport passengers to and from the quay, providing a service for passengers from the off islands and to pick up any pre-booked passengers for journeys around St. Mary’s.

The service is open to people over 60 or with mobility problems and can be booked to suit your needs eg. trips to visit friends, to health appointments, local shops or to attend the various social groups eg. Telling Tales at the Library, Memory or Wednesday Cafes, Knit Together (knit and natter group), swimming sessions at Normandy Pool etc.

The bus is accessible with steps and handrail and is suitable for wheelchair transport. (Please give sufficient notice when booking for this, as seats need to be removed). The driver is happy to assist you to and from door to bus and to help with seat belts where necessary.

The Buzza Bus provides a Monday to Saturday daytime service but does not cover evenings at this time. You need to register for this service and book trips in advance. Please see below for details. :

* Wednesday 1.00pm – 5.00pm
* Thursday 8.30am – 4.00pm
* Friday 9.30am – 5.00pm
* Saturday 10.30am – 2.00pm
