Join Newquay Day Services for a Charity food extravaganza

Published on 09 January 2019 07:07 PM

We are extremely excited to let everyone know about an upcoming Charity Fundraising event, Helping Hands and Pans; an Evening of Great Food, which will take place at Newquay Day Services on Thursday 7th February.

The meal is being prepared by Julian Pickup, who became Head Chef at the Cornish Arms in 2018. Julian and his supporting team from Rick Steins have very kindly provided their time for free, ensuring that we raise as much money as possible for a great cause.

Ticket sales and proceeds raised from this event will go directly to Newquay Day Services amenities fund, which will help to provide a plethora of activities, outings, and services for clients of Newquay Day Services. You can read our Day Services Story below

Please do share this post far and wide, we have 50 tickets to sell and want to generate as much interest as possible.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite on this link:

Our Story
We provide a range of fantastic activities that are chosen by the people we meet and the group members we support. These activities enable people to meet with friends, try something new and achieve their goals & ambitions in later life. This support ranges from the enhanced building-based care that we offer in Newquay, Falmouth and St Austell to day activities & sessions that take place in different venues. Ultimately, this means that we are offering a more tailored approach to Day Care which puts the individual at the centre of our focus.

What do we do?
By working with the individuals we support and local communities we have developed a brilliant mix of activities, which include; days trips, lunch outings, cinema/theatre visits, craft days, social clubs, games & sports, weekly quizzes, reminiscing through music, dance/exercise sessions, and not forgetting, our mix of guest speakers & school projects.
