We are seeking experienced advisors to apply for the role of Kernow Gateway Information & Advice Advisor. Responsible to the Gateway Locality Team Leader, you will actively support clients who contact us in a person centred, holistic conversation: working with the client to identify their specific needs and options to improve their situation by accessing the above-named benefits. This may include assisting with the completion of benefit forms, posting to the client upon completion, assisting with Mandatory Reconsiderations whilst adhering to Age National and Age UK Cornwall & IOS Quality Audit Standards.
This role would suit someone with experience of supporting by phone applications for Attendance, Allowance Personal Independence Payments and Blue Badge Disability Parking Permits. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to flex communication style to different individuals. You will have or be willing to obtain a Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance. You will be confident in your computer skills, able to adapt to bespoke data management systems and online portals, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure, to tight deadlines, with accuracy and significant attention to detail.

Reports to: Gateway Locality Team Leader
Work Base: Boscawen House with the ability to work from home and at different locations and venues in Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly. Travel is an essential part of the role.
Salary: £16,810.81 per annum (£24,880 pro-rata)
Hours of Work: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
