Cancer Support Volunteers

We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with the fantastic team at Macmillan Cancer Support, their collaboration has enabled us to provide excellent support for people affected by cancer across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The main objective is to make this valuable partnership sustainable for the future. As a result, we have some exciting new volunteer opportunities which we would like to share with you.

About the Role

Initially, we are looking for volunteers to provide four hours a month in 4 key locations (Liskeard, St Austell, Newquay and Bude) to help us to deliver regular, drop-in support sessions for those affected by cancer.

As a valued volunteer for Age UK CIoS we would love for you to be a part of shaping this support service. Our relationship with Macmillan enables us to access specialist training opportunities to maximise the impact for everyone.

Practical Considerations

Ideally, though not essential, you would have previous experience in supporting individuals.

DBS & references are required for all our Volunteer roles
