Volunteer Fundraiser

We are looking for someone who wants to help change lives in Cornwall. Often, our elderly population is left to fend for themselves in later life. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, financial worries, social isolation or health problems, we can do more to help the most vulnerable in society. Let's help individuals to help themselves and live the life they want to!

Our Volunteer Fundraiser will identify ways of raising funds and to take action to help secure this funding by talking to organisations face-to-face, promoting our services through Direct/Digital Marketing, helping with internet research, collection tins and organising fundraising events.

Our Targets

We want someone to make a difference in the Cornish community. This year we are on target to raise £20,000 which will allow us to really improve the wellbeing of older people. Imagine how much more we could raise with your help!

  • 'Just £10 will provide one hour of befriending support, helping to beat social isolation in Cornwall!'
  • '£20 will provide, transport, a hot meal companionship, support & group activities at one of our Day Centres'

Through networking/communication with a range of individuals and groups, volunteers will have the opportunity to develop their PR, marketing and fundraising skills.

Practical Considerations

We are looking for volunteers who are able to meet with us for 1-2 hours on a regular monthly basis in Truro, then give as much time as possible in the local community.

DBS & references are required for all our Volunteer roles
