Age UK Coventry is governed by a Board of Trustees, who are volunteer Directors of the charity.
The Chair of Trustees is Margaret Egrot.
As a member of the Board of Trustees, it is the responsibility of every trustee to ensure that Age UK Coventry operates in a manner which enables it to fulfil its charitable object as set out in the constitution in as effective a manner as possible.
The Trustees work closely alongside our Chief Executive, Michael Garrett and the Management Team.
Trustees need to have the ability to think strategically and to work collaboratively with others. Trustees help to shape and guide the future strategy and development of Age UK Coventry including the development and launch of exciting new services.
- To approve the strategic direction and priorities for the charity.
- To safeguard Age UK Coventry’s good name.
- To ensure that Age UK Coventry complies with its constitution, charity law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
The Trustees are responsible for overseeing the preparation of the Trustees’ Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards, that give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period.
