Coronavirus Service Update

We would like to assure you that we remain committed to assisting older people live independently in these difficult times and beyond.
We are closely following government guidelines during the Coronavirus pandemic and, unfortunately, this has meant suspending services that take place in any type of group setting. However, for other important services which normally involve face to face contact, we have adapted our ways of working to ensure they continue.
Our services are as follows and, other than Home Support, open to new and exisiting clients.

Overcoming loneliness is a major issue at this time and we are providing regular phone contact to over 70s living in isolation.

This is available via telephone or video link to over 65s in Warwickshire or their carers experiencing emotional issues, stress and anxiety.

Dementia Wellbeing Service
Is providing regular telephone contacts to clients with a dementia diagnosis and their carers, referred by Warwickshire County Council or privately funded. Guidance is also available to carers on coping strategies, activity resources and dementia advice.

Money Management Service
Through Appointeeship and Deputyship this service supports the management of personal finances to those people lacking the capacity to do so. Referrals to this service are direct through Adult Social Care.
Home Support Services
This is a prioritised and personalised service covering shopping and meal preparation and is available to exisiting clients only.
Social Prescribing Services
Continue to work with GP practises in Coventry, North Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth to assist their patients identify and access support and services, normally by phone. Referrals to this service are direct through GP surgeries and multi-disciplinary teams, (such as district nurses) only.
Hospital Social Prescribers
Are working with Warwickshire hospitals providing a telephone service to advise and assist in-patients organise the support they require after discharge. Referrals to this service are direct through Adult Social Care and Warwickshire hospitals only.
