No one should have no one to turn to
More than 2.5 million older people feel they have no one to turn to
Your partner, perhaps. Or your family and closest friends. The people you can rely on. The people who are always there for you.
No one to ask when you just don't know what to do next. No one to be there for you when you're facing a crisis. No one to talk with when you're feeling desperately lonely.
We want to highlight some of the challenges that people often have to deal with in later life but which are so much harder to bear if you are facing them alone. These include coping with bereavement, tackling loneliness, getting the social care you need and managing health problems like dementia.
We're here when you have no one else to turn to.
If you want to talk to someone directly, in Welsh or English, call us on 08000 223 444 (open between 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday). Or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Mr D is a semi-retired gentleman, 65 years old, who has recently moved to Cardiff to care for his mother after the passing of his father. Sadly Mr D’s mother has recently passed away and now Mr D is living in his mother’s house in Cardiff.
I don't know what we'd do without an organisation like yours. Thank you very much for all of your help.
5 gold stars - thank you for being so patient, you've been brilliant to take your time with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Every donation is truly valued as it really makes a difference to us continuing our work with and for older people. Thank you.
