Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who work with us to support older people in Wales.
Our volunteers support us in many ways, working in our office, running classes with our physical activity teams or working in one of the shops in Wales. Our volunteers have donated more than 9,000 hours to help us ensure we continue to be here for older people in Wales.
We wanted to highlight the contribution our volunteers make to help us ensure we continue to be here for older people in Wales. We simply couldn't run our programmes without them. So we asked four questions about volunteering and the difference it makes to our volunteers life.
Meet Rebecca, Age Cymru's Volunteer Officer - who talks about her role and working with our team of volunteers.
"My father-in-law would have benefited from your physical activity programmes. It wasn’t available where we live. Now I can provide for older people, even if I couldn’t for him".
"If you can give something back to the community and help others why not? At the same time you are making new friends. It's about getting out and meeting people, not being isolate and alone".
If after reading our volunteer experiences you'd like to volunteer with us, please visit our volunteering page and apply.
