Let's Talk Money

Every year, it's estimated that more than £200m worth of Pension Credit and other state benefits goes unclaimed by older people in Wales. Could you be one of the people missing out?

Last year the Age Cymru partnership supported older people to claim more than £7.5m in benefits and entitlements.

Our money guides offer information about a range of benefits and how to go about claiming them, so you can make sure you're not one of those missing out. You can download the guides, or call Age Cymru Advice on 0300 303 44 98 to have them sent to your home for free.

Attendance Allowance

If you have a disability or illness that means you might need extra help at home you might be able to get Attendance Allowance.

Carer's Allowance

Carer's Allowance is the main welfare benefit to help carers. Even if you don’t think of yourself as a carer, it's worth checking if Carer’s Allowance could help you.

Pension Credit

Pension Credit can give you some extra money in retirement. If you’re struggling to make ends meet, claiming Pension Credit could help.

State Pension

The State Pension is a regular payment made to you by the Government once you reach State Pension age.
