Published on 23 July 2018 01:19 PM

If royal weddings are not your thing then perhaps you might like to get on board with the Flamboyant Bus Tour that takes place in Cardiff this Saturday.

Community arts groups The 3rd Act Critics and Get the Chance are inviting anyone aged over 50 to dress up and take an open-top bus tour through the city centre and down to the Senedd for photographs, before visiting the Millennium Centre for tea and cake.

The organisers say they want to “showcase the advantages of ageing and encourage participants to feel good from the inside out whilst challenging media narratives about getting older.”

The tour, which is completely free of charge, starts at the steps of the National Museum in Cathays Park from 1pm. There are a few places remaining so if you would like come on board reserve your place by calling 07739 260289.

The tour is part of a wide range of Gwanwyn Festival events taking place throughout May across Wales. For more information please contact Age Cymru on 02920 431 555 or visit www.gwanwyn.org.uk

Ends.
