Age Cymru at the Royal Welsh

Published on 19 July 2013 10:00 AM

Royal Welsh Agricultural Show-goers can pop over to Age Cymru's stand for a cup of tea and a chat.

We will be in Llanelwedd to give advice on a range of issues.

There'll be information available on how to put more money in your pocket, Attendance Allowance and changes to the State Pension Age.

Show-goers can learn about and sign up to support Age Cymru's ‘Scams and swindles' campaign to protect older people from scams.

Age Cymru's Nordic Walking programme will also have its own stand in the Sports Arena, where visitors can try Nordic Walking.

Meryl Randell-Jones, Age Cymru's Head of Marketing, says:

"Please come along and meet us if you are at the Royal Welsh - we're on Avenue A.

"As well as a cuppa, you can also speak to our team about what information and advice could be useful for you, your loved ones or friends, you can pick up a copy of our ‘More Money in your Pocket' guide and find out about volunteering opportunities at Age Cymru.

"We'll also be talking about our new ‘Scams and swindles' campaign to protect older people from scams and asking the public to support it by writing to their AMs and MPs.

"You can get a copy of our ‘Care Home Checklist' publication, try your hand at surfing the internet and even buy some bilingual Age Cymru Christmas cards.

"And don't forget to call in to see our Healthy Ageing team at the Sports Village and find out about the Age Cymru Nordic Walking programme and how to get the most out of a healthy later life!"

Out and about with Age Cymru this summer.
