Blue Monday

Published on 16 January 2012 11:30 AM

Today is Blue Monday, which is officially the most depressing day of the year.

Experts have worked out that the weather, debt, time since Christmas, failing our New Year's resolutions and low motivation all combine to make us feel depressed.

So why not perk yourself up by doing something good for Age Cymru?

Nia Butler, Age Cymru's Individual and Community Fundraising Manager says:

"If you're down in the dumps, why not lift your spirits by doing a good deed today and help Age Cymru with our fundraising?

"Whether it's sky diving or running the Cardiff Half-Marathon, Bupa Great North Run or the Virgin London Marathon, or volunteering to do a bucket collection in Cardiff on Bobble Day - 10 February, there's bound to be something you can do to help us.

"Doing a good deed is a great way to make you feel better about yourself, and it can get you out of the house and help you to meet new people.

"So get in touch with Age Cymru today to find out how you can help us and make your Blue Monday a Happy Monday."
