Celebrity support for Big Welsh Month

Thank you Alex Jones, Aled Jones, Roy Noble, Ruth Madoc and Paul Thorburn for supporting our Big Welsh Month campaign.

We launched the Big Welsh Month yesterday - Sunday March 1, St David's Day. 

To kick off the campaign, we asked Alex, Aled, Roy, Ruth and Paul to tell us why they love Wales.

Alex Jones said:

"Wales is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

"A country of contrast - from the peace and tranquillity of our beautiful countryside, to the hustle and bustle of our vibrant cities.

"From the spectacular ruggedness of our mountains and valleys to our outstanding and ever-changing coastline. "

Aled Jones said:

"I love Wales is because it is the land of song and singing and music have always been a big part of my life.

"My upbringing has definitely shaped the passion that I have for music which has made me who I am today."

Ruth Madoc said:

"I love Wales, I love the Welsh and I love being Welsh.

"The people of Wales are so happy-go-lucky, happy, funny and very warm, caring, genuine people."

Roy Noble said:

"I love Wales because, as a country, it is a village, intimate and friendly.

"No-where is far, the country is small with beach and mountain within kissing distance, but Welsh miles are longer than elsewhere, so, on the twists and turns, just enjoy the journey."

Former Neath and Wales rugby player, Paul Thorburn said:

"Our annual family summer holidays on the Gower were always action-packed and filled with such excitement and it is only now that I am starting to appreciate what Wales has to offer and the quality of life I have been fortunate enough to enjoy."

Our Director of Income Resources Richard Nicholls, says:
