Congratulations, Martin Rees!

Congratulations to Martin Rees on setting a new over-60s world record at the Cardiff 10k race over the weekend.

60-year-old Mr Rees, who is from Port Talbot, ran the course in an incredible 32 minutes and 48 seconds.

Commenting on the news, Age Cymru's Physical Activity Development Officer, Glenn Little, says:

"Well done Mr Rees from all of us at Age Cymru - what a fantastic achievement, and another record to add to his incredible tally of 37 records.

"With his seven-days-a-week training schedule, Mr Rees really has earned his place in the record books.

"His dedication to running has clearly paid off and Mr Rees can be very proud of this latest in a long line of achievements.

"You really are an inspiration to all older people."
