Delivering Sustainable Services for Older People

Age Cymru's Director of Influencing and Programme Development - Victoria Lloyd, is going to chair the Delivering Sustainable Services for Older People in Wales Conference.
It takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff on Monday 9 December.
The event has been designed for, and in consultation with leading health and social care experts, to provide strategic advice and direction for creating effective, holistic services for a rapidly growing older population.
This timely conference gives you a crucial insight into the changes ahead by drawing together the Strategy for Older People in Wales: Living Longer, Ageing Well, the NHS Together for Mental Health Strategy and the seminal Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Bill that is currently progressing through the Welsh Assembly.
With transformational changes to the social services and health sector on the horizon, now is the time to come together to shape the way forward for sustainable services for older people in Wales.
Speakers include Lisa Dunsford, Deputy Director, Department for Health and Social Services, Welsh Government; Daisy Cole, Director of Wellbeing and Empowerment, Office of the Older People's Commissioner for Wales and Mike Hedges AM, Chair, Cross Party Group for Older People and Ageing.
Bev Reátegui, National Programme Director, Ageing Well in Wales Programme; Professor Marcus Longley, Director, Welsh Institute for Health and Social Care and Vice‐Chair, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, are also presenting.
Other speakers are Councillor Jane Tremlett, Chair, Carmarthenshire Dementia Action Board and Executive Board Member for Social Care and Health, Carmarthenshire County Council; Keith Bowen, Director, Carers UK and Jen Jeffreys, Shire Manager, Modernisation, Powys County Council.
