Free health advice for older people

Published on 07 January 2014 10:30 AM

We'll be kick-starting the New Year by offering free health advice to local groups, luncheon clubs and day centres that provide support to older people in Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil.

Age Cymru staff and volunteers will be offering information to older people on health matters, including winter wellbeing and safety, falls prevention, healthy eating and physical activity.

The New Year is a time to improve or maintain health and fitness and with our free advice we can help you by discussing any aspiring resolutions you may have.

You can book a talk with us now or request our support at any pre-arranged event that will contribute to the wellbeing of older people in your local communities.

We are providing this advice through the Ageing Well programme - promoting healthy living through investment in community groups and health enhancing programmes.

To book a free talk please contact us on 02920 431555 or email ageingwell@agecymru.org.uk for further information.

We are also recruiting volunteers to boost the work of this crucial service. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please get in touch!

Do you know a relative, friend or neighbour who would benefit from these talks? Please share this information with them to help enhance their health and wellbeing.
