Healthy Ageing team to visit Pontypridd

Published on 10 March 2014 02:30 PM

Rhondda Cynon Taf residents can come for a cup of tea and chat to our  Healthy Ageing team in Pontypridd on 21 March.

Local residents can pop along to our shop on 25 Taff Street (opposite Iceland) in Pontypridd between 10.00am and 1.00pm.

Our Healthy Ageing staff and volunteers will be there to provide information on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, over an informal cuppa.

They'll also be providing information on volunteering opportunities with the team.

Age Cymru's Community Engagement Officer, Christine Thomas, says:

"Age Cymru provides a range of services and programmes aimed at over 50s.

"Our Healthy Ageing team is presently focusing on providing essential health information to older residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr.

"Age Cymru is keen to share useful tips and support on healthy lifestyle choices, including healthy eating, preventing falls and general wellbeing.

"We are also looking for volunteers in the area to help us in this interesting and important work to contribute towards helping older people to remain healthier for longer.

"So come along to meet us on Friday 21 March - the kettle will be on and we'll make you a nice cup of tea."
