Published on 13 February 2015 09:30 AM

We're pleased to announce that Reg Noyes has been appointed to run cARTrefu - our new arts project for care homes.

Reg has a background in film development and has worked for companies including  Universal Pictures and StudioCanal.

cARTrefu is an arts project funded by the Arts Council for Wales and the Baring Foundation.

One of Reg's key aims is to set up 8-week residencies in care homes in visual arts, words, music and performing arts over the next two years.

Says Reg:

"I am really excited to join Age Cymru as the new cARTrefu Project Coordinator.

"I'm looking forward to working with an eclectic group of artists who can bring a wealth of experience, ideas and enthusiasm to care homes across Wales.

"I'll be coordinating all the artist mentors, artist practitioners and care homes throughout Wales that are going to be working together as part of cARTrefu.

"I hope to establish cARTrefu as a lasting project at the charity continuing our engagement with care homes and artists across Wales."

Commenting on Reg's appointment, Emma Robinson, Age Cymru's Arts and Creativity Programme Manager says:

"We are delighted to welcome Reg to our cARTrefu project, bringing us a range of knowledge and experience to the team.

"Reg has extensive experience in the arts joining us from the Shakespeare Schools Festival and thorough knowledge and skills in film making following his MA in Feature Film Screenwriting at Royal Hollway.

"We are looking forward to working with Reg and improving the lives of older people in care homes through the arts."
