New Chief Officer at Age Cymru Gwynedd a Mon

Eleri Jones has been appointed Chief Officer at Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn.
She takes over from John Clifford Jones who led the organisation since 1996 before he retired over the summer.
Speaking about her new role Eleri Jones says:
" provides a range of services for older people in the Gwynedd and Anglesey local authority areas, including benefits advice, a home care service and a dementia day centre.
"In the 12 years I've worked for the charity there have been many changes, including our rebranding last year from Age Concern Gwynedd a Môn to Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn.
"We have also grown a lot since I've been here and we now have 85 members of staff, including 54 home carers and 200 volunteers working on a range of projects across Gwynedd and Anglesey."
Eleri explains her plans for the future:
"We're going to be expanding our nationally acclaimed Age Well centres, and thanks to some recently secured Lottery funding, we'll be running two new buses to transport older people around rural parts of Gwynedd.
"Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn will also be registering with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales so that we can expand our home care service to provide personal care to help people live at home independently."
She concludes

Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn is part of the Age Cymru family of charities, which was formed in 2009 by the merger of Age Concern Cymru and Help the Aged in Wales.
