Charity calls for the public to donate Christmas gift boxes for older people across Wales

Age Cymru is once again appealing to the Welsh public to fill a wrapped shoe box with gifts to help make Christmas a little brighter for those living in care homes or those living alone. We know that many older people no longer have any close family or friends to visit over the festive period, so we hope that having a gift to open will make their Christmas a little brighter. 

All you need to do is fill a shoe box with traditional stocking fillers such as smellies, small games, puzzles, diaries, and calendars. You could also include gifts such as gloves, scarves, hats, and socks to help keep people warm. While of lots of us love chocolates and luxury biscuits over Christmas. But please do not include any alcoholic gifts or previously used items. 

Wrap the shoe box and lid separately with Christmas paper and secure them with an elastic band. Also, please attach a label indicating whether the gifts are suitable for females, males, or both. Please do not include any personal information about yourself.
