Comment on testing for domiciliary care staff

Age Cymru’s chief executive Victoria Lloyd says: “ We have been clear about the need for adequate and practical access to fast testing for all social care staff to support infection control measures.  As such we would support a programme of regular testing for domiciliary care staff.

“As lockdown restrictions ease, and people are having more contacts we believe such a programme would work to give confidence that services are safe.  Regular testing would need to be easily accessible for care staff and results would need to be returned quickly to ensure the effectiveness of the programme.”
