Older people from across Wales to descend on Porthcawl for annual conference and rally

Older people from across Wales will be heading to the Active Wales Conference and Rally on Wednesday 5 June 2019 at Porthcawl's Grand Pavilion.

Guest speakers for the morning's conference are Baroness Gale; Julie Morgan AM, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services; and Helena Herklots, Older People's Commissioner.

Members of the public are welcome to come along for the rally in the afternoon which starts at 2.30pm and runs until 5.00pm.

Entertainment will include hits from the musicals and a community sing-along.

Entry to the rally is £3.00 and includes a raffle prize draw.

John Davies, Chair of Active Wales says:

"Active Wales is the oldest and one of the largest pensioners' organisation in Wales with a membership in the thousands.

"Our Annual Conference and Rally in Porthcawl is one key events for older people in Wales, providing a platform to help set the agenda for older people in Wales.

"The Active Wales Rally is open to the general public, so why not join us for an afternoon of fun and enjoyment?"
