Healthy ageing is about "optimising opportunities for good health, so that you can take an active part in society and enjoy an independent and high quality of life” (Swedish Institute of Public Health 2006: Healthy Ageing - A Challenge for Europe)

Ageing doesn’t necessarily lessen your ability to play an active part in society and enjoy a good quality of life. Through our information pages and publications we hope to give you information that will enable you to make informed choices about your health and play an active role in managing your health and wellbeing. There is no one secret to healthy ageing, just a few simple positive lifestyle changes can make healthy ageing a reality for you.
