Without the continuing support of the following organisations, Age UK Dacorum would not be able to provide the range of services offered to older people and their carers. For their continued support and generosity - thank you.
Hertfordshire County Council
Provides contributory funding to support the Active Living Clubs, Carers’ Support Service and Independent Living Service.
Dacorum Borough Council
Provides contributory funding to support the Handyperson Service in Dacorum, Tea and Chat Clubs, Tea and Tech Clubs, Forums and the Living Well Co-Ordinator’s role.
Cabinet Office’s Local Sustainability Fund delivered by Big Lottery Fund
In 2016 Age UK Dacorum received £66,515 funding from the Cabinet Office/Big Lottery which aims to strengthen the resilience of organisations. The funding assisted us in the review of our fundraising practices and governance in order that we could become more sustainable over the next few years in increasingly difficult market conditions.
Every donation received can make a huge difference to the people we serve and help protect the services we provide. Every effort is made to list those organisations or people (with their permission) who we would like to thank for their contribution.
Berkhamsted and Tring Lions
For their continued support, both financially and volunteering, helping us ensure older people are not isolated and alone, particularly those affected by dementia.
For providing regular volunteer support at a range of events run by Age UK Dacorum. Osborne has also assisted the charity in offering their business skills and expertise to enable Age UK Dacorum to improve its business and marketing skills.
We are delighted that the Rothschild Foundation has given us a grant in summer 2017 for £19600 enabling us to continue with the running of our Memory Loss Support Project for people living with dementia.
We are so grateful for the time given by volunteers who, week in week out, help us to run the services. Some volunteers work alone by visiting an older people through our Befriending and Counselling Services, some volunteers help at our clubs and others raise vital funds. To each and every volunteer, and on behalf of the clients you support, our grateful and sincere thanks.
Without the support of the many individual supporters who donate small amounts - every penny counts - we are able to continue to provide vital services to older people and their carers.
A Legacy from a kind individual ensured that our Handyperson Service was able to continue and expand. Although this individual requested not to be named for donating such a wonderful gift, it has helped so many people we felt it was only right we acknowledge his kindness.
