Care Assistants

With the support of the manager you will engage with older people in activities designed to promote independence and choice within a day care setting.To form a key part of a small team who provide day care for older people in our Day Centre. The role will also involve managing your own workload in a co-operative manner with other staff and will involve interaction with older people and visitors.

Successful applicants for the post will be committed to promoting the welfare of older people through best practice social care.  This will include participating fully in the development of the Day Care Centre.   

Must be qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care and a qualification in Food Hygiene would be an advantage. The successful applicant must be willing to work towards these qualifications if not already in place.

 Applicants must hold a current driving licence.

 

Kitchen Assistant

The Kitchen Assistant will form a key part of a small team providing day care for older people in the Bakewell Centre Day Care Club.  Mealtimes are a special part of the day care day and you will contribute to the safe and sociable delivery of good quality meals.  The role will involve managing your own workload in a co-operative manner with other staff and will involve some interaction with older people and visitors.

A certificate in Food Safety would be an advantage. If not already in place the applicant must be willing to work towards.
