North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s proposals to care for more patients in their own homes where appropriate instead of in hospital have been announced.
There is an opportunity for interested parties to learn more about the plans and to air their views regardig the propsals. As part of their proposals, all of the beds on Oker Ward at Whitworth Hospital in Darley Dale would be lost and relocated to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The key dates and events in relation to the proposals are set out below:
- Tuesday 13th September 2016. Public Meeting at 6:15pm start at County Offices, Matlock in the Members Room.
- Saturday 24th September 2016. Protest March against the NHS proposals to close Oker Ward at Whitworth Hospital, Darley Dale. Meet at Hall Leys Park, Matlock at Park Head for a 10am start walking via the A6 to Whitworth Hospital, Darley Dale.
- Tuesday 4th October 2016. Last day to submit completed consultation questionnaires to the North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
- Wednesday 5th October 2016. Public consultation period ends.
It is very important that as many people as possible take the time to complete a consultation questionnaire and send it back to North Derbyshire CCG by 4th October.
