Age UK Dudley charity closed at the end of June 2020.

Our service are no longer running.

It is with great sadness that Age UK Dudley will be closing permanently on the 30th June 2020.

Age UK Dudley has faced significant financial challenges this last year, made more acute as a result of Covid-19. Despite vigorous efforts to maintain it, the Charity is sadly closing and will cease trading this month.

Talks are being held with partner organisations, including Age UK National about how some form of support can continued to be offered to the older residents of Dudley. Making the decision to close has been incredibly difficult. We have strived to keep services running despite losing significant income and that ultimately made our future unsustainable.  Age UK Dudley’s priority remains its older community and ensuring it’s now time limited resources are prioritised to best serve those who need them the most.  Age UK Dudley will do all it can to signpost people to the nearest support over the coming weeks.

We’ve had a presence in Dudley for more than 20 years and we would like to thank all staff and volunteers who have worked at Age UK Dudley and have helped to improve the lives of older people in the local area. It has been our absolute privilege to serve our community for as long as we have.  If anyone connected with Age UK Dudley has any queries or concerns they can contact Christine Szygowski, CEO on 07807376367, until 30th June.

Older people and their friends and family in the local area who wish to find out about alternative services and support that may be available in the area can contact Age UK on 0800 169 6565, 7 days a week between 8am-7pm.
