Daybreak companionship

Daybreak, based in Myles Court, John Street, Brierley Hill, DY5 1RJ offers social companionship and a wide range of stimulating, centre based activities and daily short afternoon outings for those who would also like a visit to the shops a garden centre or perhaps a drink at the pub.

What makes Daybreak special and different from most other centres is that it offers clients the opportunity to both stay in and to go out as they choose.

Daybreak is open to older residents of Dudley Borough who still live at home and who would like ‘just that little bit more’ out of later life.

Daybreak is open from Monday to Friday between the two centres. Staff will support people who may be in need of transport, to and from the centre, to find the best transport option to meet their individual needs.

Breakfast is served on arrival, together with a three course lunch and afternoon tea before returning home…. and between the food - Activity Staff organise a variety of craft and recreational activities aimed at keeping both the mind and the body active and healthy!

Daybreak “Session” offers a limited number of ‘sessional’ places for those who would prefer a little less than a full day. This includes lunch with either a morning or afternoon activity depending on availability and client preference.

Daybreak is proving extremely valuable in providing respite support for those with caring responsibilities.
