Jacqui has been associated with Age UK Enfield since July 1991 when she started as a volunteer at the then Age Concern Day Centre for people with dementia in Main Avenue, Bush Hill Park.

In 2011, she volunteered at the Parker Centre as a carer support worker for carers of people with dementia and also ran two carers’ support groups for four years.

Currently she is assisting with administration work at the Parker Centre.

During the years that she volunteered for people with dementia and their carers she has also been on a number of committees locally with the statutory services.

She also worked on the NICE/SCIE Dementia Guide Line Development Group for three years and with Kings College London and University College London with different strands of research into caring for people with dementia and their carers.
