The Lane Club is for older people with moderate to more severe dementia who would benefit from a quieter environment.

The Lane Club is open Monday to Thursday between 10.00am and 4.00pm and is based at our purpose built annexe at the Sycamores Centre on Mount Pleasant Road.  We aim to provide a very enjoyable and safe day for people who may struggle with change and the challenges of a deteriorating memory.  We know how hard it can be to get used to a new set-up, but our friendly and experienced staff work hard to welcome and integrate each person.  We aim to respond to the needs of each guest and to find activities that they will enjoy and respond to.

Guests are collected by car between 9.00am and 10.00am and taken home at around 4.00pm.

This service is available to anyone over the age of 50 who is experiencing dementia and who lives in the Exeter area.

We are very aware of the pressures that family carers may feel, and can put you in touch with our Carers Support Co-ordinator and to offer regular group and individual support to those who would benefit.

For further details please don’t hesitate to contact our, Dementia Day Services Manager using the details below.  They will also be able to give you information about the cost of the day plus details of possible support from Devon County Council's Adult Social Care.
