The Park Club is a friendly and relaxed day service based at our centre in Cowick Street specialising in supporting older people with memory problems.
The Club is warm and welcoming, and offers activities and company for 12-14 people a day, Monday to Friday 9:30am - 4.00pm. Our experienced staff and volunteers do their best to make sure they know each person well, and tailor the day to each individual’s needs and preferences.
Guests are collected by car between 9.00am and 10.00am to attend the Park Club, and taken home at around 4.00pm.
We know how important it is to provide a welcoming, safe and familiar environment if your memory is impaired, and we always offer a trial visit (or two!) to see whether you think it will suit you, or the person you care for.
We are also able to put family carers in touch with our Carers Support Co-ordinator and to offer regular group and individual support to those carers who would like that.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our Dementia Day Service Manager, if you would like to find out more using the details below. They will also be able to give you information about the cost of the day plus details of possible support from Devon County Council's Adult Social Care.
