The West Exe Day Care Service is for older people with a physical frailty who would like the opportunity to socialise in an environment that is relaxed yet stimulating and supportive. This service is for people who live in the west of the city.
Our wonderful staff and volunteer team are there to ensure everyone receives a warm welcome and gets the maximum enjoyment from their day.
An ongoing programme of activities and entertainment is on offer, such as music, quizzes, speakers and exercises, and we are always open to new ideas. We also enjoy a delicious two course lunch freshly cooked on the premises, and can cater to any dietary requirements you may have.
We benefit from relationships we have formed with our local community by involving ourselves in various projects with nearby schools, Exeter University and The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM).
Hairdressing, chiropody and massage: details on request.
Help with bathing and personal care is also always available.
Days open: Monday to Thursday 10.00am - 4.00pm; Friday 12.00pm - 4.00pm
Cost of the day and referrals: Please contact us for information on prices and transport; plus details of possible support from Devon County Council's Adult Social Care.
This service is aimed at people who live in the West of the City. Referrals can come through Adult Social Care (Social Services), or you can self-refer and pay for the day yourself . You will be invited to come along for an informal visit first to see how you get on. There is no obligation, so please give us a ring if you would like to find out more!
