Funding
Age UK South Kent Coast receives grants from the local governing bodies to help keep the service we provide, running. We also receive donations and legacies, for which we are extremely grateful. These two factors alone provide a substantial portion of our budget and allow us to continue offering our services throughout Deal, Folkestone and the surrounding area.
Fundraising
At Age UK South Kent Coast, we are proactive in trying to raise funds and every little helps! We have monthly raffles, with a range of prizes donated by local businesses.
We also hold occasional afternoon performances, tickets for which also include lunch, and have been lucky in hosting some wonderful singers and other entertainers at both the Marigold and Deal Centres.
We also organise other fundraising events e.g. community fetes, to help boost our funds, with the help of our volunteers and staff. We are really grateful for their efforts and continued support, and the contribution they make to Age UK South Kent Coast.
We would like to thank the trusts and foundations that have donated to us, and continue to support and actively promote the services that we offer.
