Volunteer at a national event
What do event volunteers do?
Over the year, Age UK delivers and participates in a number of fundraising events that generate vital funds to support our services for older people. We need volunteers to help at these events.
At our running events, you might be manning a cheer point or water station, marshalling or supporting runners at our receptions.
5 November 2017
Our flagship event attracts 12,000 runners each year to the heart of Leeds city centre. We need volunteers to help marshal, support the water stations, assist in the baggage tents and work in the finish funnel to hand out snacks to our much-deserving runners. Travel up to £10 can be reimbursed, and you will be provided with a snack and drink voucher to claim at the catering point.
22 April 2018
Why not join Team Age UK, and volunteer at the largest fundraising event in the world? We need support at our cheering points out on the route and volunteers to help at our reception after the event, where runners come to enjoy a hot meal and massage along with family and friends. Travel up to £10 and lunch up to £5 will be provided to all volunteers.
