Join the Board of Trustees for Age UK Hereford & Localities

Age UK Hereford & Localities is an independent local charity, dedicated to improving the lives of older people across most of Herefordshire and surrounding areas. Our mission is to help people to remain independent and comfortable for as long as possible in their own homes and communities. The charity delivers a number of key services including Information & Advice, footcare clinics, help and companionship at home, day centres and lunch clubs. We are the leading voluntary organisation supporting older people in the county.

 Trustees

Trustees are responsible for the good governance and financial management of the charity, and for ensuring that its core purpose of helping older people is carried out. You can see a general description of the role of charitable trustee here or here.

We are looking for committed individuals to expand the range of trustee skills as well as to consolidate existing skills with an eye to succession planning. We require enthusiastic and motivated people, who are sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Age UK Hereford & Localities, to fulfil these voluntary duties.

There is no need to have trustee experience to apply. An interest in supporting older people is necessary.

Please note this is a voluntary role and reasonable expenses will be paid.

If you would like to use your skills and experience at board level to help us help older people, we very much look forward to hearing from you.

Please send a short CV and covering letter outlining your interest in the role and the skills you would bring to our work, to the Chief Officer, Kay Hurdidge, via email:
