Volunteers' Week 2018
Published on 31 May 2018 02:50 PM
It’s National Volunteering Week 1st -7th June and we love volunteers at Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire!
Many of our services wouldn’t be able to help and support many older people in the two counties, without the dedication of our 350+ volunteers.
There are many volunteer roles within the organization, suited to every type of person and their skillset. This can be anything from befrienders to admin and office support, so if you thought that we wouldn’t have a volunteering role for you... then take a look at our ‘Volunteering Roles’ and you might be surprised.
What do I get from volunteering?
- It's a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and support the work we do in the community.
- Comprehensive training, appropriate DBS, expenses and invites to our social events.
How do I sign up?
1. Visit our volunteering section and browse through the roles – found one you like?
2. Fill out the volunteer form and press submit!
3. Wait for us to get Back to you.
This week we’ll be giving you an insight into the different volunteer positions, and of course our amazing volunteers - so keep your eyes peeled on the news section and our social media!
Still not sure? Here's what some of our volunteers say:
