Our Dementia Wellbeing Service is here for you and your loved ones to help you live well with dementia. Bringing together a number of services and activities which offer support, information and guidance following a diagnosis of dementia.
Our Services
We understand the challenges that a dementia diagnosis can bring and so we have a variety of services to support you and your loved ones. From information and advice, dementia cafes and support for those with Young Onset Dementia, our friendly team will be able to speak to you about which services could be right for you and your loved ones.
We can help with:
- Accessing social groups and events
- Getting support at home
- Navigating local services
- Advice for carers
- Assistive technology
- Assessing financial and legal help
- Improving wellbeing
- Benefit checks and help with benefit forms
Dementia Post Diagnosis Support
DPDS is offered by a dedicated team of experienced staff who can provide information and support to people newly diagnosed with dementia. You will be allocated a named worker who can support you for a minimum of one year following diagnosis.
Your DPDS named worker can help you to access available local services, ensuring a person centred approach is at the heart of service provision. Our aim is for you to be able to face the future as positively and independently as possible.
