The W.I. has jam, Men in Sheds have jamming! The success of the Acoustic Music Shed in Newport has now spawned an offspring, the Acoustic Music Shed Part 2!

This Wootton Acoustic Music Shed meets every Friday from 2pm to 4pm at the Old School, New Road, Wootton Bridge, PO33 4PH. Music Sheds are a place where musicians (both men and women) of all ages and abilities can come together every week for a jamming session. Each session costs £2 which includes tea and coffee.

How to find us: New Road is between the pedestrian lights and the Sloop Inn heading down the hill from Tesco Express). The entrance to the school playground is on the left and easy to miss so keep an eye out.

This project is part of the Age Friendly Island partnership. Age Friendly Island is part of Ageing Better, a programme set up by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. Ageing Better aims to develop creative ways for older people to be actively involved in their local communities, helping to combat social isolation and loneliness. It is one of five major programmes set up by The National Lottery Community Fund to test and learn from new approaches to designing services which aim to make people’s lives healthier and happier.
