Event Volunteer
Age UK Isle of Wight is a local independent Island charity. We rely on the income of our events to help to support our charities much needed services.
Every year we host a series of fundraising events and we are looking for ad hoc volunteer support to host them. The role of support required vary including:
Event Set Up/ Take Down:
- Putting up gazeos
- Setting up table top displays
- Decorating the venue; Putting up bunting, displaying signs and banners.
Event Support:
- Ticket Booth - Taking entrance fees.
- Sign in Desk - Signing in event participants.
- Gate Manning - Helping us to ensure people are access the sites correctly/ taking donations with our collection buckets.
- AgeUK Tent /Table Top Displays - Giving away freebies and leaflets to those interested/ taking donations with our collection buckets.
- Photography - Taking photos of event participants at our Abseils, Skydives, Powder Run etc
- Handing out event packs/ medals - Cheering on those who are participating in an event and giving the associated packs out.
- Throwing Powder Over Participants - At our annual rainbow obstacle course.
