About Us

The Age Friendly Island team are part of Age UK Isle of Wight and began working on the project in 2015 following a successful bid to the National Lottery Community Fund.

The project was initially part of the Ageing Better Programme but the AFI project received further funding as it was recognised that creating a cultural shift is something that takes longer.
