Brokerage Support Service
The Brokerage Support Service run by People Matter IW offers help with putting together care and support for people who have a direct payment from the IW Council, for whom the service is free, or for those who need to organise and pay for their own care, who will pay a fee.
We help you to be at the centre of choosing your own care and support, giving independent and impartial advice and guidance. In this way, you can take control and choose how your personal budget is spent.
Working with you we will create a fully-costed support plan and, if requested, help you to negotiate with providers to put that care in place. We will then review the plan to ensure it is working for you or discuss and help to implement changes if needed.
They can also offer:
Personal Assistant Providers to assist in choosing a care or residential home placement
We will look to ensure that the person has all of the options set out for them, along with the costs, in a way they understand
Provision of expert advice and guidance to clients and carers
Empowerment of clients to achieve their goals
Support for both publicly funded and self-funding clients
Identification of cost-effective solutions
