Our First Drop in session will take place at Newport Congregational Church on the 16th June 10.30am 'till 12.30pm Come along, say hello, have a cup of tea and a chat!
The Mary Pittis Trust was set up in the 19th century to support “widows of the parish of Newport”.
It is funded through a legacy Trust administered by Newport Congregational Trust, who have donated funding to Age UK Isle of Wight to create a service to help to support those bereaved.
Although this work will begin in Newport we are hoping to expand this Island wide in the future.
We are looking to start a conversation with members of the Newport community that may benefit from this support, in order to find out what type of support they would like to see offered as part of it.
We want to hear from you!
If you or someone you know you could benefit from our support then get in touch today!
Help us to shape the future of our project but answering a few questions and we will contact you by return!
Did you know we offer a FREE virtual activities programme?
Each week our coordinator kelly takes us on journeys across the Island through sessions on Nature, Island Heritage, Lets Explore, and even offers a weekly exercie class Click HERE to find out more.
Our Widows Project is kindly funded by the Mary Pittis Trust held by Newport Congregational Church.
The Church Minister and his team will be available for Pastoral/Spiritual support.
This could include Memorial Services or celebrations of life.
